The University of Thessaly was founded in 1984. Based in Volos, it has expanded throughout the region of Thessaly and Central Greece, including campuses in Volos, Larissa, Lamia, Karditsa, and Trikala. UTH is organized into 8 Schools, 37 Departments, and 71 Post-graduate Study Programs. The University is deeply invested in high-quality scientific research, considering it essential for the production and transmission of new knowledge. It encourages scientific distinction in all fields, rewards high individual and collective achievement, and fosters a conducive environment for research and teaching innovation.

The Department of Informatics and Telecommunications, part of the School of Sciences at the University of Thessaly aims to advance the fields of Informatics and Telecommunications. Its vision is realized through teaching and research activities that prepare scientists with the necessary moral and technological skills and qualifications.

The DISIT Lab of UNIFI is the most active Big Data/AI lab of the University of Florence, metropolitan Tuscany area, and it is an official Regional Lab in Tuscany.

DISIT Lab is strongly active on artificial intelligence, big data, knowledge engineering, security and privacy, GDPR, Digital Twins, and other tech focused areas.

The research group consists of about 20 people working on smart city, industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, data analytics, big data analysis with a special care to on domains of mobility and transport, environment, energy, health, justice, retail, quality of life.

Politistica has been investing in research and the development of new technologies and methods
in the field of art conservation, preservation, promotion, and dissemination since its establishment.

It has built numerous collaborations with public and private cultural institutions, as well as
individuals and private enterprises operating in the sector. The center’s research focus is on the exploration and application of innovative tools andmethodologies in the conservation and restoration of artworks, antiquities, and modern
monuments, as well as in the promotion and enhancement of the Cultural and Creative Industries and their artifacts. Politistica actively participates in national and European projects and initiatives, striving for the continuous evolution and development of its services through interdisciplinary collaborations and its ongoing engagement in research and emerging technological advancements within its fields of
interest

SIDROCO brings a whole range of New Generation Internet of Things (NG-IoT) features and capabilities, for creating, supporting, and managing ultra innovative products and services, by providing efficient, effective, and secure NG-IoT solutions for various heterogeneous environments, including Critical Infrastructures like energy, healthcare, and autonomous driving and cultural heritage.

BI2S is a high-tech SME established in Cyprus. It provides consulting services, and develops B2B solutions, based on artificial intelligence, IoT and data analytics for multiple sectors such as telecommunications, health and agriculture. The company invests on research and development in order to increase its knowledge on machine learning, and data management methods and to be prepared to meet its clients’ needs. BI2S has a team of experts that have a long experience in R&I projects working with leading companies and academic institutions.

Established in 2007, the Foundation for Research and Innovation (F.R.I.) plays a pivotal role in advancing technology transfer and higher education, with a clear focus on fostering a culture of innovation. Promoted by the University of Florence, the Metropolitan City of Florence, Fondazione CR Firenze, and the Florence Chamber of Commerce, it serves as a catalyst for territorial development by applying the Quadruple Helix approach, which integrates academia, industry, government, and civil society to accelerate the transfer of research outcomes into economic and social value.

FRI's mission is to facilitate knowledge transfer, foster cross-sector collaboration, and promote best practices to drive the adoption of innovation across diverse fields. It's main activities are the following: scouting, project design and management, funding opportunities, networking and technology transfer, higher education and research promotion.

The Tall Ship Glenlee is a historic Clyde-built sailing ship, launched in 1896 and now permanently berthed on the River Clyde in Glasgow. Rescued in the 1990’s and lovingly restored, Glenlee now sits proudly just a short distance from where she was built. As one of only five Clyde-built sailing ships of her type still afloat worldwide, and the only one preserved in the UK, she offers a unique and powerful connection to the city’s shipbuilding legacy and global seafaring past.

Today the Tall Ship Glenlee Trust is dedicated to conserving and sharing Glenlee’s story in a way that inspires curiosity, learning, and pride in Stotland’s maritime legacy. Through immersive exhibitions, educational programmes, and inclusive community engagement, we aim to connect people of all ages to the ship, the Clyde, and the wider world Glenlee once sailed.
